I’m 31 years old and he is 38. We started dating in January 2014 and he quoted Bible verses and promised me heaven and earth. I believed him and fell deeply in love with him. Then he disappeared. Now he won’t say a word to me unless I say something first. I’ve been crying myself to sleep but the pain won’t go away. Why did he use God’s name to
give me false hope?
Sis Naledi responds:
People often tell you what you want to hear. They use what matters to you to get close to
you. That doesn’t mean he respected God as you do. He only wanted to achieve what he wanted at that time. By continuing to chat to him, you are prolonging the pain and will keep on hoping he may come back. Cutting off ties with him completely will allow you time to heal and get over him.
