I’m a 25-year-old HIV
positive woman, but I’m afraid to
tell my partner about my status.
My CD4 count is high and he
doesn’t want to use a condom.
Should I tell him?
Sis Naledi answers:
It is the right thing to let
your sexual partner know
about your HIV status before
engaging in sex. The earlier you
disclose, the better. Rather let
your partner decide whether he
wants to be in a relationship with
you. It should be out of choice,
and not because you lied to him.
