Tips on keeping your feet smooth and soft

Your feet may not be the most visible part of the body during the cold season but that is
no excuse to neglect them. Take care of them and make sure you avoid these common problems:

DRY FEET
Dry, white and ashy feet are
caused by allergies and using
harsh soaps. The skin on the foot
and in between the toes usually
gets affected.

TIPS:
■ Use a mild soap and apply a
foot or moisturising cream.
■ Put on petroleum Jelly and
wear socks when going to bed.

CRACKED HEELS
This is caused by pressure on the
foot and a lack of moisture.

TIPS:
■ Use a pumice stone twice a
week to clean your feet.
■ Apply moisturising cream.

FOUL ODOUR
This is caused by sweaty feet or
wearing the same shoes daily.

TIPS:
■ Make sure your feet are clean
and dry before putting on your
boots.
■ Sprinkle foot powder on your
feet and inside your shoes.
■ Leave a tea bag in your shoes
overnight to get rid of the smell
